Social Competition: solve a problem! How and what kind of problem? Examples below…

A social project is any initiative that makes your environment a better place.

Such a project can cover various fields, such as culture, sports, new technologies, urban space, or art. For example, you could plan culinary workshops for high school students or dance classes for children. It is important that the project addresses a social issue in your community. This could be a charity run, an online campaign against hate, or other activities that help people and improve life in your community. The most interesting problem solution will be REWARDED!

As part of the competition, you will receive mentor support – experts in the field, webinar presentations (topics include project management, problem-solving, artificial intelligence, and more), access to many valuable presentation templates and project planners that will make it easy to complete your project.

A detailed description of the project implementation stages, which will facilitate solving a social problem, can be found in the guide we have prepared specifically for this project.

Join to our social contest

For participating in the competition, you will receive a certificate confirming your participation – you can show it to your future employer.

Examples of social issues:

  • Boring lessons? Low use of technology in classes. Technology that helps students learn (inspiration – have you heard about the AI robot that solved the Polish high school final exam in 30 minutes? LINK to article) -> solution: using AI in classes while building creativity among students based on available knowledge. An interactive whiteboard where you display found inspirations with the class and engage in a conversation respecting differing opinions.
  • Feeling of loneliness among youth -> solution: organizing shared time based on common interests (e.g., by creating a portfolio at school where each student can sign up and list their hobbies. Meetings will be organized based on this information).
  • Little contact with nature/greenery in and around the school building -> solution: agreement with the school management to collect funds for buying planters and flowers for the classrooms. Organizing a volunteer day and collectively building beehives to be placed on school grounds, allowing students to observe bees at work during breaks.

These are just examples – the topics can be very diverse. We value cooperation, so join with your friends! (minimum team size is 2 people). Prepare a group presentation (any document format such as PDF/Canva or video) and show how you address a pressing social issue.

The most creative solution will win! Submit your work by June 19 at 11:59 PM. Details can be found in the competition rules and at tech@girlscodefun.pl.
