Girls Code Fun
Girls Code Fun is a foundation that supports girls and women in gaining and expanding their knowledge and skills in new technologies. Our activities go beyond teaching programming—we also focus on building self-confidence and a strong sense of self-worth. We want every participant to believe in herself. Together with our partners, we create a thriving community of women and girls in IT, challenge stereotypes, and work to increase diversity in the digital industry.
How we support?
Recognizing the disparities in education and employment, we focus our efforts on supporting women as they enter the world of IT and digital skills education. We organize courses, workshops, and mentoring programs that not only impart knowledge but also build confidence and the skills necessary to thrive in the technology industry. We support women at every stage of their careers and education, striving to eliminate barriers and promote equality in the new technologies sector.
We conduct workshops and courses for women and girls
We impart knowledge and inspire exploration of the world of technological possibilities. We make technology approachable in every aspect.
We teach broadly understood DIGITAL SKILLS
The world of technology is more than just programming. Today, digital skills apply to almost every area of life. In education and professional life, they are essential to remain attractive in the job market.
We implement local and international projects
We are not limited by geography or language. We operate wherever our activity is needed. We work online, on-site, and in-person in both Polish and international environments.
Why we support girls and women in IT?
Analyses show that the participation of women in the rapidly growing new technologies sector is still low. To prevent workforce shortages in this future-oriented sector, it is crucial to encourage and educate women. Our projects reach the youngest girls, just a few years old, teenagers who encounter stereotypes, as well as mature women who are advancing their careers in IT or can quickly retrain and enter the IT job market.
Our mission
Our mission is to motivate and encourage girls and women to acquire knowledge in new technologies. We provide them with solid knowledge that builds their specialized competencies in the job market and education. As a result, they gain a better understanding of the modern, technology-driven world. By organizing mentoring programs and soft skills workshops, we also focus on fostering professional confidence in the participants of our projects.

TOP 6 reasons to support women in the new technologies sector
1
Equal gender ratio
The global workforce comprises 47.7% women, but only 25% of engineering positions in the technology sector are held by women, highlighting a significant disparity (Exploding Topics).
2
Access to education
In Poland, women represent just 19% of students in computer science fields, one of the lowest rates in the European Union (Careers in Poland) (Central Statistical Office).
3
Diversity in teams
Research shows that gender-diverse teams are more innovative and achieve better financial results, benefiting the entire economy (Deloitte United States) (World Economic Forum).
4
Resilience to crises
Companies with a higher proportion of women in leadership positions are more resilient to crises and develop faster (World Economic Forum).
5
Clear career path
Women in IT often face barriers due to a lack of clear career paths and wage inequalities, which makes additional support necessary for them to fully realize their potential (Women in Tech Network).
6
Growth of the technology sector
The technology sector is rapidly evolving, and the demand for qualified specialists is increasing. To avoid workforce shortages, it is essential to increase the number of women in this area through education and support at every stage of their careers.
Meet our beginning
The decision to establish the Foundation was not spontaneous; it was based on deep experiences. On one hand, it stemmed from experiences in the USA, where technology education was gender-neutral. On the other hand, it was influenced by life in Poland, where stereotypes overshadowed the educational choices of thousands of girls and women, rather than their genuine interests. Passionate advocates for equitable education and employment, Karolina and Van Anh founded the Girls Code Fun Foundation. Today, they are still committed to the Foundation’s mission, even as they develop their careers in other areas.
Since 2014, the Foundation has been successfully implementing its mission, but there is still much to be done. We maintain an openness to new initiatives and seek partners for collaboration on a daily basis. Ania Osowska, a project management enthusiast in technology and development, sets the direction for our activities and helps grow the Foundation. If our mission resonates with you, be sure to get in touch!

The effects of our initiatives
If the word MISSION sounds to you like an unrealistic statement from a website, check out how we actually implement it. We achieve large and ambitious goals through concrete and effective actions. In the “Business collaboration” section, you will find a range of activities that we can carry out in partnership and with sponsorship support.
Participant impressions
Our words serve as a promise of the highest quality. The feedback from our participants, however, is a testament to our actions.
