Code Her Future

Thinking about a career change? Want to retrain? Know that IT is a promising path? The “Code Her Future” project is designed just for you – we will help you take your first steps in IT, calm your internal fears, and provide the external support that women often lack.

Who is the “Code Her Future” project for?

For women who:

• want to enter the world of IT
• want to retrain, but have been held back from taking this important step
• have no programming experience yet (NOTE: we teach from scratch)
• want to gain knowledge in web development
• want to start their future in coding
• want to be closer to the world of new technologies
• see added value in meetings with a mentor
• have time for 4 weekends listed in the schedule, access to a stable internet connection, and a functional, fast computer/laptop
• live in Warsaw (or the Mazowieckie Voivodeship) and can participate in the project summary (NOTE: If you are from another voivodeship but are determined, send an application!)
• will definitely complete the project once they start it (commitment and respect for the project are of great importance)
• are aged 18+

What do we offer?

• A comprehensive 3-month project where you will learn the basics of web development and receive individual mentoring support.
• Front-end and Back-end in practice: you will learn the secrets of creating websites, gaining knowledge in both front-end and back-end areas.
• Under the guidance of our experienced educators, you will independently create your first website.
• Comfortable programming knowledge acquisition in a small group of 10 people – the project is dedicated to 20 participants, and 2 groups will be formed.
• Convenient online learning format over 4 weekends (Saturdays and Sundays): you will immerse yourself in 40 hours of intensive online learning. You will acquire practical skills that will help you start a career in the coding world.
• Online or On-site Mentoring: Over 2 months, you will receive online or on-site support from experienced women in the IT industry. You will have the opportunity to ask questions, share ideas, and develop your skills.
• Access to additional, free, self-paced ONLINE courses that will bring you closer to the world of IT:
  • Introduction to Cybersecurity (Polish, 6 hours)
  • Introduction to Data Science (English, 6 hours)
  • Business English B2 (English, 50 hours)
• Official project conclusion in Warsaw.
• CERTIFICATE of participation in the project!

How does it work?

1. Online Workshops:
   • 4 weekends (Saturday-Sunday from 9 AM to 2 PM)
   • 40 hours of learning practical programming skills (20 hours front-end and 20 hours back-end)
2. Mentoring:
   • 4 hours of online or on-site support over 2 months (rules and frequency of sessions are set with the mentor)
3. Official project summary:
   • Meeting in Warsaw (in March or April)
   • During the meeting, we plan 2 lectures, getting to know each other in person, networking, a friendly atmosphere, and handing out certificates 🙂

Schedule of the online workshop part, 8 meetings of 5 hours each:

Individual meetings with the mentor will start in February, and at the latest in March! The mentor will dedicate 4 hours of support, sharing their experience and good advice over 2 months from the first session. In the application form, describe your needs, and we will match you with the mentor who best suits your development.
