Cybersecurity is now available at Girls Code Fun!
The goal of the “Basics of Cybersecurity” course is to discuss the most important concepts, areas, and tools used in the world of cybersecurity. This will allow participants to identify the most interesting direction for their further education and development. Additionally, graduates will receive free access to another online cybersecurity course. This course will be available on an external online platform, 6 hours in Polish, for self-study.

We recommend it to women who want to enter the IT world and explore their development opportunities in the popular field of cybersecurity.
Agenda:
- Introduction – cybersecurity and risk management, Types of attacks, OSI layers, Continuity of operations: backup, DRaS
- Network protection – network, network segmentation, firewall, Email protection, SD-WAN, VPN and remote access, Cryptography, Vulnerability management
- Application protection – WAF and OWASP Top10, Secure code (DevOps and SecOps), SOC, introduction to the MITRE ATT&CK® framework, Kill Chain, Endpoint protection – XDR vs antivirus, Mobile device protection – MDM
- Social engineering and prevention methods, AI and deepfakes, Cyber hygiene and physical protection, Top experts (manufacturers) in the cybersecurity industry (Gartner), Certification paths, Technical workshops (e.g., based on the description of the current infrastructure of company X and the threats it faces – propose actions and tools to secure company X – where will you start? What questions will you ask? What tools will you use? – the topic may change and will be presented at the meeting).
