Hey there, female IT students! Want to get a head start on your Google internship application? This free project is for you!

“InnovateHer Program” is a project by the Girls Code Fun Foundation & Google. We created it with female computer science students in mind, aiming to help them start their journey towards securing an internship at Google.

The goal of this project is to provide you, the students, with the tools needed to effectively apply for an internship at Google and prepare for the recruitment process at one of the most innovative tech companies in the world. While qualification for our project does not guarantee an internship, we do:

  • familiarize you with the process
  • highlight key points on its map
  • answer your questions.

Who is this project for?

The “InnovateHer Program Girls Code Fun & Google” is aimed at female computer science students who:

  • will not graduate before June 2025,
  • already have some coding experience,
  • are proficient in English.

If you meet these criteria, we invite you to apply for the project and start your journey towards an internship at Google! Together, we will demystify what seems distant and inaccessible. During two sessions with Google mentors, we will show you that it’s worth aiming high. You will learn how to write an effective resume and participate in an AMA session – Ask Me Anything – with current Google interns.

What benefits will you gain from participating in the project?

  • CV Workshops: You will take part in workshops that will help you create a professional resume in English, tailored to the expectations of Google recruiters. After the workshops, you will have a set time to submit your resume to the Girls Code Fun Foundation. We will then forward it directly into Google’s recruitment process.
  • AMA (Ask Me Anything) Discussion Panel: You will meet current Google interns who have gone through the recruitment process and can share their experiences and valuable tips. The event will be held in one of two formats: at Google’s office in Warsaw with the option to participate online for those outside Warsaw, or exclusively online. We will inform you about the format of the meeting in advance. Apply to the project even if Warsaw is not convenient for you.

Schedule:

We are currently finalizing it. Exact dates and the bios of leading Googlers will be available soon. We believe it’s possible to organize tasks so that we meet according to the project’s schedule 🙂 The first online workshop is planned for September 5th from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM. The AMA session will take place within three weeks of the first workshop. In the meantime, you will send us your resume so that it can reach the right hands at Google!

Why is it worth it?

Participating in this FREE project is a unique opportunity not only to prepare for the recruitment process at Google but also to take part in it now. It’s a chance to gain new skills, connect with other female computer science students from Poland, and increase your chances of starting a career at one of the most prestigious companies in the world.
