JavaScript basis online course for women

“JavaScript from Scratch” is a new online programming course for women. Participation is free of charge. Have you heard of JavaScript but don’t know what it’s all about? The program assumes learning from zero, from the basics. Consider this when recruiting for the workshops; you certainly don’t want to get bored 🙂

Agenda

Meeting 1 | July 13, 09:00-14:00:

• Introduction to JavaScript

• Setting up the development environment

• Variables, conditionals, and loops

• Creating a simple guessing game

Meeting 3 | July 27 09:00-14:00:

• Local storage

• Introduction to REST API

• Creating an application to display current weather

• Introduction to Chrome DevTools

• Basics of digital accessibility

JavaScript is an online course that lasts a total of 15 hours and is conducted over 3 weekend sessions of 5 hours each.

Workshop Goals:

• Learn the basics of JavaScript
• Create your first website
• Understand basic debugging tools

For Whom?

For women who want to enter the IT world and test their programming skills.

Knowledge Requirements:

None, but basic HTML or CSS is welcome
