Unleash your creativity and step into the world of no-code application development. Low Code No Code Workshop: Create your first web application in 12 hours

This workshop is an ideal opportunity for women who want to:

  • learn the basics of Bubble.io, a no-code platform for creating interactive websites and applications
  • build their first working web application in just 12 hours
  • discover the potential of no-code and see how easy it is to bring their ideas to life

If you have NOT been exposed to low code/no code technologies, these workshops are for you.

During the workshops you will:

  • learn the Bubble.io interface and the basic elements of building an application
  • design and create your own simple web application
  • receive tips and advice on creating effective no-code applications
  • have the opportunity to ask questions and learn from other participants

Workshop structure:

  • Series of 4 meetings: Each lasting 3 hours, totaling 12 hours of learning and practice.

Workshop dates:

  • August 20, 2024 (5:00 PM – 8:00 PM).
  • August 22, 2024 (5:00 PM – 8:00 PM).
  • August 27, 2024 (5:00 PM – 8:00 PM).
  • August 29, 2024 (5:00 PM – 8:00 PM).

Workshop topics:

  1. Introduction to Bubble.io: Discover the capabilities of the platform and learn how to navigate the interface.
  2. Basic UI elements: Build interactive websites using Bubble.io components and features.
  3. Creating databases: Organize your data in a structured and efficient way.
  4. Application logic basics: Learn to create rules and control the behavior of the application.
  5. Integration with external services: Extend the functionality of your application by integrating with APIs and external tools.
  6. Deploying and publishing applications: Share your work with the world by publishing it online.

Teaching methods:

  • Practical exercises: Improve your skills by building your own applications.
  • Step-by-step demonstrations: Watch the instructor and follow her steps to learn from examples.

Tools and technologies:

  • Bubble.io: No-code platform for creating web applications.
  • ClickMeeting: Video conferencing platform where the workshops will be held.

Learn low code / no code technology from scratch

Workshops on Low Code No Code consist of four intensive sessions that will take place in the second half of August. Participants will receive a significant amount of knowledge about technologies for creating websites without programming skills in a short time.

Requirements for participants:
1. Bubble.io account:

  • Participants must create a free Bubble.io account before the workshops begin.
  • The account can be created at https://bubble.io/.
  • A Bubble.io account is necessary to use the platform and participate in practical exercises.

2. Equipment:

  • Participants should have a computer with Internet access and a stable Wi-Fi connection.
  • It is recommended to use a second monitor or two computers to follow the instructor’s step-by-step instructions while working on your own application.

3. TheMovieDB account:

  • Participants must create a free TheMovieDB account before the workshops begin.
  • The account can be created at https://www.themoviedb.org/signup.
  • A TheMovieDB account will be needed to use the API during the workshops.
  • Instructions for creating a TheMovieDB account will be sent to participants upon qualification for the workshops.

Note: The workshops are based on the free Bubble.io plan!

During the workshops, we will focus on creating web applications using all the possibilities of the free Bubble.io plan. You will learn how to use the intuitive drag-and-drop editor, create user interfaces, databases, business logic, and integrate applications with APIs.

* Connecting your own domain:

At the end of the workshops, the instructor will optionally show how to connect your own domain to the Bubble.io application. However, please note that connecting a domain requires a paid Bubble.io plan and is not mandatory for the proper functioning of the application. Participants do not have to connect a domain, the instructor will provide detailed instructions and educational materials.

The workshops will be conducted by ANIA OJDANA – a web developer with two years of experience working on various web application projects, specializing in low-code and no-code tools, especially the Bubble.io platform. Currently associated with the Personit and EWL agencies.
