STEAM Academy
The third edition of the well-known and esteemed project is back! This is a comprehensive development program for students who are exploring their educational paths and know that new technologies are the future. It’s also for those girls who are already fascinated by the world of new technologies and plan to build their future in this field.
STEAM Academy has already graduated 100 students, and this fall, another 40 girls will get the chance for intensive development of both hard and soft skills.
In the third edition, participants will gain knowledge in six competency areas expressed in six subjects. We’ll start with soft skills – by discovering their strengths during soft skills workshops, participants will boost their technological morale. Next, we’ll provide knowledge in UX and UI, essential for design. Then, we will teach the basics of front end, back end, and SQL. The result of this workshop part will be a simple self-designed website.
The project also includes invaluable sessions with a mentor from the world of new technologies. In individual sessions, participants will be guided by those who have navigated a long journey to enter the world of IT/new technologies despite stereotypes. Each participant is guaranteed up to 10 hours of mentoring, which she will use in the form and time that suits her needs.
During the project, there will also be webinars related to the project’s themes.
Participation in the STEAM Academy program will allow for the development of key skills:
- Comprehensive problem-solving
- Critical thinking
- Creativity
- Team collaboration
- Cognitive flexibility
