Another important grant from Motorola Solutions Foundation
Warsaw, Poland – September 9th – Girls Code Fun Foundation which aim is to develop digital skills among women and girls, today announced it has received a grant from the Motorola Solutions Foundation, the charitable arm of Motorola Solutions.
The support will benefit high school students from Warsaw and the Mazowieckie region.
Thanks to this grant, we will carry out the 5th edition of the educational project for 40 teenage girls from Warsaw – STEAM Academy.
“This support allows us to develop a program that is already an important part of Warsaw’s educational landscape. High school students have been looking forward to the next edition for months, eager to gain new digital skills and put them to use in the upcoming school year.” – Anna Osowska, Executive Director.
As part of the grant, we will implement as many as 6 subjects in the field of new technologies. The weekend learning will be supported by webinars and a mentoring process, which is crucial for teenage girls to build confidence in learning technology. In addition, all participants will gain access to online courses in cybersecurity, business English, and data science.
The Motorola Solutions Foundation, which has donated more than $100 million over the past 10 years, focuses its giving on three key areas: first responder programming, technology and engineering education and programs that blend the two. The Foundation has a long-standing
commitment to supporting programs that benefit under-resourced populations and aims to partner with organizations that align to its values of accountability, innovation, impact and inclusion.
