Obecnie odbywam staż w polskiej firmie sektora kosmicznego Creotech Instruments, a w lipcu 2025 roku rozpocznę letni pobyt badawczy w Kalifornii w NASA JPL, w ramach JPL Visiting Student Research Program.
Nina, it’s been a while since you participated in our project. What are you currently up to?
Currently, I am studying Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft in the Netherlands. I am interested in the space industry and would like to develop my career in this direction, particularly in systems engineering for interplanetary missions. I’ve also had the opportunity to participate in space-tech projects and programs, including a semester exchange at Nanyang Technological University in Singapore and a training program with the European Space Agency.
That sounds impressive and inspiring. When did your interest in space and technology first begin?
I have been showing an interest in space and technologies since I was a child, basically since kindergarten. I’ve been ‘orbiting around technology’ for as long as I can remember.
At school, IT classes didn’t involve much practical coding. When I found the STEAM Academy project organized by the Girls Code Fun Foundation, I thought it might be a good way to start my programming journey.

And what were the main skills you gained from the program?
Programming was definitely the most important for me. That was when I actually started working with Python, and I still use it today in my studies and engineering projects. Programming is very useful in my field, especially for simulations and algorithms.
What would you say to girls who are considering joining Girls Code Fun projects?
I definitely recommend getting involved in activities like STEAM Academy, especially at a younger age. Use your time in high school or technical school as a safe space to test things out and discover what you enjoy doing. It’s awesome that there are organizations like yours that lend a helping hand for free and help people find their way in various paths of new technologies.
Nina, we wish you all the best in achieving your dreams. Come back to us with more updates on your progress!
Thank you! For now, I’m focusing on fully giving my all to what I do. I’m curious to see where I’ll be in a year, in three years, or in ten years. I hope I’ll have interesting insights and perspectives to share with the community.
