Karolina

graduate of Girls Code Fun

I’ve always been ambitious and curious about the world, treating every new challenge as an opportunity for growth. Each project, every learning experience, and every new skill is a step toward becoming a better version of myself. I try to draw lessons from my experiences and use them as motivation to keep moving forward. I enjoy inspiring others through my attitude and showing that perseverance truly pays off. In my opinion, it’s worth seeking what we’re passionate about in life and consistently pursuing our goals.

What are you currently doing professionally, Karolina?

At the moment, I’m working in the education sector, but my professional goal is to grow in the field of data analysis and use data to support effective and informed business decision-making.

What motivated you to take part in Girls Code Fun Foundation projects?

I wanted to gain insight into the perspectives of people working in a global tech organization and understand which skills and attitudes support their professional development. Participating in the Foundation’s projects was a chance for me to learn and draw inspiration from expert mentors at Google, as well as from the field of data analysis.

I believe it’s passion and determination that make possible what once seemed out of reach.

What skills did you gain during the program?

I learned how to work on programming projects while taking into account user feedback and mentor input. I also discovered best practices used by developers, which helped me improve my applications and continue developing them after the program ended.

You took part in a mentoring process. How did working with a mentor impact you?

Yes, I had the opportunity to participate in mentoring. Working with a mentor was a valuable experience – it helped me expand my technical knowledge, learn how to approach feedback constructively, and develop the ability to improve my projects independently.

What are your future plans, considering the skills you gained in the project?

I plan to continue learning technologies and data analysis methods, take part in courses and hands-on projects, and look for opportunities to work in IT, where I can use data to create meaningful solutions.

What was the most valuable experience for you?

The most valuable experience was working with a mentor. It helped me not only strengthen my technical skills but also improve my soft skills – communication, openness to feedback, and independence. Now I approach my personal development in a more conscious way.

What advice would you give to other girls considering joining Girls Code Fun Foundation projects?

I would encourage all girls to overcome their fears. These projects are a great opportunity to grow your skills, learn from experts, and gain experience through exciting challenges. It’s important to embrace feedback and stay open to new experiences – that’s how you truly learn and grow.
