Who is this project for?

The GCF LAB & Znany Lekarz project is designed for children from a sociotherapeutic day-care center in Radom, with a special focus on girls at risk of social exclusion. The initiative aims to introduce young participants to the world of new technologies and develop their digital skills through learning programming in Scratch – a platform that enables them to create games and applications.

The project is being implemented for beneficiaries of the Ogródek Jordanowski center, aged 6 to 13.

What we teach children?

We teach children the basics of programming, focusing on the Scratch language. Scratch is a visual programming language that allows them to create interactive games and applications. At the same time, it develops logical thinking and creativity. As a result, children not only gain technical skills but also learn teamwork, problem-solving, and perseverance in achieving their goals.

In previous editions of the project, we also introduced Python for older participants, allowing them to further develop their programming skills.

Our goal is to equip young people with the essential tools for the digital world and inspire them to continue developing in the field of technology.

At the end of each semester, participants receive a certificate as a summary of their work and a reward for their journey into programming.
