Workshops structure
WThe workshop consists of a series of four sessions, each lasting three hours, totaling 12 hours of learning and practice.
The workshop will be led by Ania Ojdana, a web developer with two years of experience working on various web application projects. She specializes in low-code and no-code tools, particularly the Bubble.io platform. She is currently associated with the agencies Personit and EWL.
Requirements for participants
1. Bubble.io Account:
- Participants must create a free Bubble.io account before the workshop begins.
- The account can be created at https://bubble.io/.
- A Bubble.io account is essential for using the platform and participating in practical exercises.
2. Equipment:
- Participants should have a computer with internet access and a stable Wi-Fi connection.
- It is recommended to use a second monitor or two computers to follow the instructor’s guidance step by step while working on their own application simultaneously.
3. TheMovieDB Account:
- Participants must create a free TheMovieDB account before the workshop begins.
- The account can be created at https://www.themoviedb.org/signup.
- A TheMovieDB account will be required for using the API during the workshop.
- Instructions on setting up a TheMovieDB account will be sent to participants after they are accepted into the workshop.
Teaching methods and tools used
The workshops will consist of:
- practical exercises: improve your skills by independently building applications
- step-by-step demonstrations: observe the instructor and follow their steps to learn from examples
During the workshops, the following tools will be used:
- Bubble.io: a no-code platform for creating web applications
- ClickMeeting: a video conferencing platform where the workshops will take place
During the workshops, we will focus on building web applications using all the capabilities of Bubble.io’s free plan. You will learn how to use the intuitive drag-and-drop editor, create user interfaces, databases, business logic, and integrate applications with APIs.
Connecting your own domain? At the end of the workshops, the instructor will optionally show how to connect a custom domain to a Bubble.io application. However, keep in mind that domain connection requires a paid Bubble.io plan and is not necessary for the proper functioning of the application. Participants are not required to connect a domain, and the instructor will provide detailed instructions and educational materials.
