For whom?
Mentoring with Googlers is a new chapter in the collaboration between the Girls Code Fun Foundation & Google. In the previous edition, employees of the global tech giant shared their experience and time as part of our Power Her Tech project. Today, we’re launching an independent initiative in which the Google team is getting involved to support the growth and development of the women-in-tech community.

When can I join?
If you feel that you need support from someone more experienced, mentoring might be a great fit for you. In this process, it’s important that you have a specific goal or are able to define a challenge you’re facing and would like to discuss during the sessions. You will then work together with your mentor to set that goal.
If you’re just starting out in IT – strengthen your technical skills or build your self-confidence.
Already in the industry but feeling uncertain or going through a confidence crisis? Gain a fresh perspective through mentoring with a Googler.
Do you code and want to build your portfolio? Check which mentor can guide you through that journey.
This project is completely free of charge. That’s why we’re looking for mentees who truly want to make the most of this opportunity and change their reality. We encourage applications from women who understand what mentoring is and how to use it effectively.

Where can I find the list of mentors?
You’ll find the list of mentors in the description of the mentee application form on this page. We’ve included a link to a live spreadsheet showcasing the mentors who are supporting women in their development in the digital world during this edition. Additionally, we paste the list HERE.
What are the rules of mentoring with Googlers?
Each Googler is available for a specific period and has declared a limited number of mentoring hours per month or for the entire project. The program runs from June to August, but based on the mentor’s availability, you may use the full amount of their time or only a portion of it. Much depends on the goal you bring to the mentoring process. You and your mentor will arrange the meeting times and schedule individually. All sessions take place online.
Applications may be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis; however, we reserve the right to select mentees from among all submitted applications.
Areas of support offered by mentors include:
front end
back end
web development
soft skills & HR, resume building
online marketing
engineering
QA, testing
Scrum & Agile
time, business, product, process management
