Imagine that in a few months you start or grow a job in IT knowing Java – regardless of whether you already have work experience in programming. Your knowledge of Java opens the door to the world of technology, and your competence is recognized by a global company. This is exactly the opportunity you get by actively participating in our free summer Java JUMP bootcamp.
This is the next edition of the project. We have already trained more than 50 female girls, and some of them have received offers and started working for our partner. Sound optimistic? Check out the details.

Who is the Java JUMP summer project for?
Is Java JUMP for you? If…
- You dream of working in IT – or you’re already there and ready for the next step.
- You don’t know Java yet, but you want to learn it.
- You are ready to commit to intensive learning and build your competence.
- You want to use your summer time to gain real knowledge.
- You want to increase your chances in the job market.
- You communicate freely in English (B2 at least).
- You know other programming language/s (very welcome)
- You communicate in an NVC (nonviolent communication, without entitlement) manner.
- You have a university degree (no matter when or how old you are) or you will finish it in 2026 at the latest (you must have a diploma, so if you finish this year 2025 – you are also welcome) and an average of at least 4.0.
- You are open to a hybrid job in Krakow – if you get a job offer, the start will be in the middle of 2026, so you have time for life changes, as long as you are from another city.
- You accept the Terms and Conditions and respect the unpaid nature of the project….

We first qualify those who are ready to apply and start working for a partner i.e., meeting the criteria of the HSBC program, although for Java JUMP we accept all applications.
Java JUMP ambassadors

What awaits you in the Java JUMP summer edition?
- A 90-hour intensive online workshop under the guidance of an instructor programmer.
- You will learn about Java and the environment (project scope below).
- Certificate of completion with a list of competencies gained.
- Inspiring community of women in IT.
- The chance to later be hired by the Partner according to its recruitment path (a separate process, but Java JUMP helps insofar as the first stage of recruitment is behind you and you get to know the language that counts for that organization).

What does the recruitment processlook like?
Your step-by-step IT career path.
Java JUMP recruitment is not an obstacle – it is your first step to a new reality. It consists of 3 stages.

- Simulate aptitude test – first success and your abilities matter!
- Shortlist – we are one step away from a journey into the world of Java together.
Each stage is a chance to confirm your potential. Completing Java JUMP is your stepping stone – you’ll be ready to pass the first stage of HSBC program recruitment and you’ll gain technical knowledge that you can use in the next stage.
What is the schedule for the Java JUMP summer edition?
Start of workshop: July 2025 | Completion: by mid-September 2025. We are launching two groups for the convenience of participants. Weekly (English-speaking) and weekend (Polish-speaking). Specify your participation preference in the form.
Recruitment is open until June 22, 2025 – by that date, your Simulate test result must be visible in the HSBC system. Creating your profile, taking the Simulate test, and having it evaluated can take several days – so please keep this in mind when submitting your application.
Applications submitted just a few days before June 22 may not leave enough time to take the test and receive the result.
We will send recruitment results by June 26, 2025, to the email address you provide in the application form. Make sure to check your SPAM, Promotions, and Social folders – the agreement will be sent on your email if you’re accepted. You must sign it within the deadline given in the email. Otherwise, your spot will be given to the next person on the waiting list.
IMPORTANT: it takes up to several/teen days to complete the profile in the Partner system, receive the link to the Simulate test and get the result – take this into account when implementing the second stage of recruitment.

About partner
HSBC – your potential employer and our project partner.
HSBC supports talent development and invests in women in technology. The HSBC development program you can apply to this fall is:
- Employment contract for two years.
- Salary of PLN 11,000 gross per month.
- Full benefits package.
- Programming experience not required!
A person who joins HSBC will receive the full social package in force at HSBC, including medical insurance, life insurance, in-vitro subsidies, among others. Joining HSBC, you can also get involved in a number of initiatives – sports, well- being, volunteering, among others. The company focuses on diversity – in 2024, out of 2,500 IT professionals, nearly 1/3 of them are women.
Our Java JUMP is more than learning. It’s about passing the first stage of HSBC’s recruitment process and helping you gain the knowledge tested during HSBC’s technical test. And the program at HSBC is not only a unique opportunity to start or continue a career at a global company, but also to develop programming skills in advanced technologies – it is aimed at people who meet certain criteria (as below).
Some requirements for the HSBC program
- Knowledge of Java (you will learn it with Girls Code Fun in the Java JUMP summer edition project).
- Free communication in English (at least B2).
- Willingness to relocate to Krakow (hybrid work).
- Knowledge of a second programming language (welcome).
- Knowledge of networks and Windows operating system (welcome).
- Completed any university degree or final year of university (2025/2026) with a grade point average of 4.0 or higher (no matter when toy finished or how old you are, no matter what field of study you finished)
- Permission to work in Poland.
