STEAM Academy project again on the Warsaw educational map! The 1st edition showed that such projects are needed among young, high shool students. We are proud and happy to inform that thanks to the Motorola Solutions Foundation financial support we organize the 2nd edition of our mutual project.

STEAM Academy is a free of charge online program in the filed of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics dedicated to students from Warsaw and a nearby high shools. During the program there are 60 hours of classes of practical STEAM skills and soft skills. 40 students get the knowledge of the possible educational and career paths in IT, of getting an internship and how to choose the way of development in STEAM.
STEAM Academy is a weekend course. Participants meets online on Saturdays and Sundays and get the technical and practical knowledge – the 1st phase of the project. After that they have mentoring sessions with women from new technologies industries. For 5 months they work on their personal aims and learn more about themselves, try to choose and plan their next steps in the educational life – the 2nd phase of the project.
During the course, participants gain skills in the following areas:
- creating and designing websites
- programming
- graphics and UX (Canva service)
- soft skills (how to look for an internship, what are the development paths in IT).
Participation in the STEAM Academy program will allow you to develop key skills:
- comprehensive problem solving
- critical thinking
- creativity
- team cooperation
- cognitive flexibility.
Recruitment for the project lasted until October 15, 2022.

Girls Code Fun Foundation Receives Motorola Solutions Foundation Grant .
Warsaw, Poland – August 2022 – Girls Code Fun Foundation, promoting the education of girls and women, today
announced it has received a grant from the Motorola Solutions Foundation, the charitable arm of Motorola Solutions.
Through this grant, Girls Code Fun Foundation will help 40 girls from the high shools from Warsaw and nearby to gain important competences from the STEAM area. Each year, the Motorola Solutions Foundation grants are given to charitable organizations such as Girls Code Fun.
The Motorola Solutions Foundation, which has donated $100 million over the past 10 years, focuses its giving on three key areas: first responder programming, technology and engineering education, and programs that blend the two. The Foundation has a long-standing commitment to supporting programs that benefit underrepresented populations and aims to partner with organizations that align to its values of accountability, innovation, impact, diversity and inclusion.
