19th edition of Girls Code Fun & ZnanyLekarz FUN LAB in Radom
Current edition: 19
Free Scratch coding workshops for kids from Radom are back. This time around, we especially want to invite girls who are ready to create, experiment, and discover what they can achieve with a fresh idea and some code.
Between October and December 2026, we’ll be running hands-on Scratch sessions. Kids will build their own games and animations, learn coding fundamentals, and flex their creative muscles. No background in programming is required – we start with pure curiosity and the urge to make things.
We have been running Girls Code Fun & ZnanyLekarz FUN LAB
in Radom since 2018. Reaching the 19th edition means more than just another semester of classes. Above all, it means another group of kids getting the chance for their first positive experience with technology.
Sessions will be held in person, split into two groups. We will email the detailed schedule directly to those accepted into
the program.
Who is it for?
This program is open to kids from the Public Jordan Garden
in Radom, prioritising girls for participation.
This project has always focused on kids with limited access
to extracurricular tech education. Everyone deserves the chance to discover new technologies and grow their interests, regardless of where they live or their background.
Participation is completely free of charge.
What do kids learn in the program?
Scratch lets kids jump into coding without getting bogged down by complicated syntax, so they can see their work come to life right away. Throughout the workshops, they will build games, animations, and interactive projects while picking up the fundamentals of programming.
It goes way beyond Scratch, though. Bringing a project to life means dreaming up an idea, mapping out the steps, troubleshooting when things break, fixing mistakes, and trying again. That is exactly why coding builds so much more than just technical skills.

Creativity is a skill you can grow
Children are naturally creative. Our goal is to give them another tool to help bring their ideas to life and turn them into something real.
During our sessions, we don’t look for a single correct answer.
We encourage experimentation, making your own choices,
and finding different solutions. Through this, kids practice creative and logical thinking, independence, patience, and problem-solving.
That moment when something they built themselves finally works on the screen can be a huge spark for future learning.

Why we especially encourage girls to join?
An interest in tech doesn’t just appear when picking a college major or starting a career. It develops much earlier, shaped by early wins, a sense of accomplishment, and the feeling that “this belongs to me, too.”
That’s why for our 19th edition, we are putting a special focus
on girls. We want to give them a dedicated space to tinker with tech, grow their creativity, and unlock their potential. We want every participant to know that the tech world is for her, and she isn’t just here to take part – she is here to build.
