The Technology Graduate Programme at HSBC is a development programme for graduates. It offers two years of full-time employment, with the opportunity to continue your career at HSBC afterwards – a path already taken by many women, including Girls Code Fun alumnae.
Visit the success stories tab to hear what the programme’s ambassadors say about their experience. Apply, gain valuable hands-on experience and build a stable career in a global organisation.
What you can expect
Joining the Engineering pathway will give you the chance to explore the real-world challenges facing IT professionals. Women remain underrepresented in software engineering. Together, we want to change that. We encourage you to apply for this pathway. Why? Because it offers variety. You’ll explore both development and production support roles, including infrastructure support, telecommunications and network engineering. You’ll tackle practical tasks using professional tools and your own unique skills.
career path | tasks | skills |
|---|---|---|
Software Engineering | Programming, object-oriented modelling, building data infrastructure, debugging, and writing clear code for responsive user interfaces. | Attention to detail, teamwork, adaptability, motivation and eagerness to learn. |
Who is it for
Wondering whether the Technology Graduate Programme is right for you? You don’t need to be a technical expert or have a degree in a specific subject to take part. Our alumnae’s stories show that women have joined the programme with a range of educational and professional backgrounds.
If you know at least the basics of programming, apply – even if you don’t have a computer science degree.
If you’re curious, enjoy collaborating with others and are motivated by solving real-world problems through technology, you could be a great fit. What matters is your mindset, willingness to learn intensively and openness to growth.
You’ll find the full eligibility criteria on the programme’s website. The main requirements are:
- Availability to work full-time from July 2027.
- An achieved or predicted overall university grade average of at least 4.0, or the equivalent of a UK 2:1 degree, from a recognised university.
- Having graduated, or expecting to graduate before July 2027, with at least a bachelor’s degree; graduates from earlier years are also welcome.
- Knowledge of at least the basics of programming.
- Fluency in English.
- The legal right to work in Poland throughout the programme.
Whenever you graduated, if you meet the criteria, this programme is for you too.
